Heat Pump Repair, Replacement, and Installation

Are you in need of Heat Pump Repairs or Replacement, you can call us for any heat pump services!

We are a locally owned business that has been around for over 70 years. We have grown with our community and want to continue to work with the people here to improve our region. That starts with making sure that people are comfortable in their homes. Which is precisely what we are good at, conditioning people’s homes.

Your home may have a heat pump that will be providing the heat for your home. This means that the outdoor unit will be providing the first stage of heat. This is accomplished by reversing the flow of the refrigerant through the system. Most homes will have a second stage of heat called heat strips located in the electric furnace.

Heat Pump Repair

How does a heat pump work?

_

Unlike how most people think of air conditioning, it does not generate cold. It removes the heat from your home and then puts it outside. This is the same general concept of how a heat pump will work. It is pulling in all of the heat from the outside of your home and releasing it into the inside of your home.

One of the most significant benefits of a heat pump is that it can be run as an air conditioner during the summer. Then when the weather begins to turn cold, it automatically becomes a heater instead of an air conditioner.

Heat pump repairs

_

Heat pump repair is similar to an air conditioner repair because it will utilize many of the same components as the standard air conditioner. But when the refrigerant begins to flow in the opposite direction, many things change. We train all of our service technicians to become experts at dealing with your heat pump-related repairs.

Heat pump replacement

_

Heat pump replacements can be as easy as any other air conditioner replacement. However, you will have to be aware that if your current unit is an older model, you will have to have your indoor coil replaced, if not your entire indoor unit. Refrigerants that are being discontinued or phased out, such as R22, will no longer have equipment produced using these refrigerants, and the new system will need to utilize a different refrigerant

Newer refrigerants such as R410A run at much higher pressures than R22 and will not be able to be used with the older style of coil. This means that you will have to replace more than just your heat pump when that time comes.

If your unit is over ten years old, you will want to consider if the maintenance cost outweighs the value of replacing your equipment. Air conditioning equipment has an average life expectancy of 10 to 15 years, which means that if your unit is within this range, it may mean that it does not have a lot of life left in it, and it may make more sense to go ahead and replace it. This way, you will not be left without an operating unit in the cold of winter or summer heat.

Heat pump installation?

_

You can trust our company to perform a quality installation for your new heat pump system. We strive to ensure that all of our units that have been installed are operating to their peak level of performance. We also make sure that we don’t leave anything behind that should not be there. Our units are level, sealed, and operating just as they should when leaving your home.

Benefits of a heat pump?

_

Heat pumps can be excellent units when you consider that you have a heater and air conditioner all in one unit. With the flip of a switch, you are going from air conditioning to heating. This also means you have freedom on what you would like to do for your inside unit. Sometimes people will opt for a dual fuel system which means that they have the standard heat pump unit outside, but they have a fuel-burning furnace inside their home.

But you are not limited to an electric fuel source or fuel backup; there are also geothermal heat pumps that will pump water through piping in the ground and back through your HVAC system to create heat for your home.
