Owyhee Gives Back to Veteran

Owyhee Heating & Air Gives Back to Nampa Air Force Vet

At Owyhee Heating and Air Conditioning, serving our community goes beyond repairing furnaces and installing HVAC systems. It means stepping up when our neighbors need help the most.

This December, our team had the opportunity to help a Nampa resident, Iraq War veteran Nicholas Osgood, and his family during a difficult time. For more than two months, the Osgood family had been living without heat after discovering their furnace had a cracked heat exchanger. To keep his family safe, Nicholas shut the system down immediately, leaving the home cold during some of the harshest winter weather.

Like many families facing unexpected hardships, replacing the furnace wasn’t financially possible. Despite efforts to find assistance, the family was left relying on blankets and space heaters to get through the cold.

When Nicholas contacted Owyhee Heating and Air Conditioning, our team sent a technician to assess the situation. After learning about his military service and seeing the condition of the furnace, we knew we could help. On Christmas Eve, our technicians installed a brand-new furnace at no cost to the family, a gift valued at approximately $5,000.

As a veteran-operated company, supporting those who have served is deeply important to us. Fewer than one percent of Americans serve in the armed forces, and we believe honoring that service can take many forms, including lending a helping hand when it’s needed most.

Helping the Osgood family was not an isolated act. This month alone, Owyhee Heating and Air has assisted several families in the Treasure Valley with heating needs during the winter season.

We are proud to serve Nampa and the surrounding communities with honesty, integrity, and compassion. If you or someone you know is struggling with heating or cooling issues, we encourage you to reach out. Keeping our neighbors safe and comfortable is at the heart of what we do.
